It’s down. Hopefully it will be restarted soon. Any new additions or updates really should be done to our newer Confluence wiki since we have better monitoring tools and ability to control that in place.

It might make it more clear if there is a wiki option in the Confluence dashboard menu:
          MODx 0.9.6: Documentation
          MODx 0.9.6: Wiki

          OR

          MODx 0.9.6
                  - Documentation
                  - Wiki
I get the impression that Confluence is for the official documentation at this point since there is no dedicated Wiki space. Or is the plan to mix the documentation with the wiki?

@Onesmarthost: you can read the wiki in the google cache until it return.

Er, (pauses for confusion), Confluence is a wiki too. The MediaWiki site that is currently at wiki.modxcms.com is community hosted and supported, and it does not require approval from the team to post anything there. I think it should be left as is and people can still contribute to it if they so choose. However, our official documentation will be hosted in the Confluence wiki and it will be editable only by official documentation team members (i.e. there will be some accountability for the content unlike the older wiki).
