Hi,
I’ve been playing with phpEclipse today. This plugin looks good. I can run a simple php script without problem. However when I tried to run MODx using XDebug I couldn’t figure out how to display the page. The only thing I got was the generated HTML code for the index.php dumped into the console view. How do I get it to open in the php Browser or any other browser? Am I making sense?
Thanks for your help.

Just FYI, it’s going to be of minimal help in the current MODx releases; I’ve never been able to get remote debugging to work right because all of the MODx snippets and plugins are eval()’d, and the times I’ve tried the source just goes blank when it gets to the eval (i.e. it doesn’t know how to step through source that doesn’t come from a physical file).
In MODx Revolution however, scripts are cached to file and included as global functions to avoid the eval(). And a bonus side-effect is that remote debugging works wonderfully with it.
Thanks OpenGeek. I usually use an include to an external file in all my snippets to be able to debug. I haven’t looked at Revolution yet but I’m going to "play" with it soon. Thanks for the heads up.
