I meant having a way to calculate what goes on what page (e.g. documents with page titles starting with "intro" get certain content, documents with ids in a certain range get specific content, documents in a certain container get specific content -- stuff like that).
If so, you can easily write a custom snippet to figure out what goes on the page and put it there.

Ultimately I need to be sure that I can use MODx to put together a site flexibly from my standpoint, but also that can be easy for the content editor to look after.
So this means setting things up in such a way that it is easy for them to influence layout without having to learn too much underlying modx.
