I am wanting to create a public membership listing in MODx. I can come up with a couple of different ways to handle this, but the membership information needs to turn up in the AjaxSearch results. If I just build these lists from snippets, that doesn’t happen. I have thought about using web users and user groups (for categories), but I have the same issue.

I am looking for an initial, clickable category listing page that then takes you to the appropriate list of members under that category. The ability to cross-categorize would also be appealing.

I am not sure if this post ought to be under Commercial Inquiries & Bounties, but I thought I would start here to see if this is something that has already been tackled and I just haven’t run across the solution yet. This doesn’t seem like a novel need, maybe I am just needing someone to point me in the right direction.

maybe TVexplorer would be an option -> http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,16456.0.html
this thread might help as well -> http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,30743.0.html

      cheers, j

Lots of snippets can be used for showing userinfo (and just not the logged in user) and have this info put on docs, in chunks etc. Then assign members their own searchable pages.
If you make your own MySQL database tables (tip --> eform2db) you can use AjaxSearch for this --> http://www.modx.wangba.fr/index.php?id=180

          Hi Pleth

As showed by mrhaw, you could use AjaxSearch with tables different than the content, tv tables.

For instance you could define, the modx web_users table as the main table and define a new specific table as a linked table. And then define an AjaxSearch with this context. You could also define categories and associate to these categories the search see for instance : http://www.modx.wangba.fr/index.php?id=225

Let me know roughtly what you would like and I will provide a new demonstration on this base as example for everybody.

Thanks for the responses. It will take me a little bit to wrap my head around these.
