I have just added a new article to my website- the first since upgrade from Etomite. - what I have pasted has paragraphs etc. But when it appears on the web page it comes out with no breaks at all. I paste it from Notepad - both with word wrap on and off. When I go to edit, the script looks fine- just the way I want it. When it is saved, it appears not the way I want it. Never had this before. What have I not clicked?
Are you using a Rich Text Editor in the content field?
Notepad has weird ideas about line and paragraph breaks. I usually paste from Wordpad, which is much better behaved.
You could try putting an extra line between each paragraph (in the MODx editor, not notepad).
Worst case, you could turn off Rich Text and put in the <p></p> tags yourself.
I’ve solved my problem.
I have found a drop down menu at the bottom of the "document content" box called Editor to use.
it defaults to none, but when clicked reveals TinyMCE. When I click that on - I’m off to the races. All working well.
Thanks for help offered.

You can set the RTE to default to the editor you use (normally TinyMCE) by editing the configuration in the Site Settings (manager: >Tools > Configuration then select the Interface & Features tab ad scroll down to "Editor to use").
