front end document creation

HI,

i wonder if this is possible with modx. I want for anyone to be able to fill out a form on my site which creates a (unpublished) document in modx. Is there any snippets or plugins to help me?

There are two popular solutions: there is the standard NewsPublisher snippet (I think it is one of the default packaged with the installer). And there is the more powerful FDM (Frontend Document Manager) which is in perpetual Apha status but is widely used none the less. It has a very long thread with a lot of information.

I agree. However in this case it is in alpha simply because the developer no longer supports is. I have used it before and it is used quite a few times as well. There is good documentation in the zip file and the user base is large so the support is good. It uses the documentApi class to create the documents. Download it and take a look at how it works, the code is pretty straight forward.
