Hey I really think this is an easy one but I just cant figure it out, so please tolerate with my ignorance for now.
Im new to this CMS style stuff but can mess with code pretty well. Here’s my question. There is a "My Modx" title at the top
of my pages, no matter if I am using my own template. How do I get rid of it. I see it in the source code but how do I access it to delete the title. It is not in my template html and it appears pretty much no matter what template i use. any suggestions. http://www.blainehuslig.com/EPK/ to see.

      Hi there,

in your manager, go to tools -> configuration -> websitename and/or delete the part out of your template, if you don’t wanna have any text displayed in that header-picture.

      cheers, j

Look for [(site_name)] in your template.
The [(site_name)] part is replaced to "My MODx Site" by modx parser.

[(site_name)] is replaced by the configuration setting as outlined by sharkbait above. The default value happens to be "My MODx Site".

Don’t slap yourself too hard. wink

Many people have trouble finding that system setting and relating it to the template setting. It’s been suggested that this be settable during the install or shortly after on the welcome screen.

I’ve just put a note about it in the FAQ at the site in my sig.

BTW, you can use [(site_name)] anywhere on any page where you want to use the site name. That way, if you decide to change the site name, it changes everywhere automatically.
