Hello,
we’re just writing a proposal for a MODx-website for a small publishing house - most of their requests are doable in MODx out of the box...
They also need a solution to track ad clicks - they sell banner ads and need click data for these ads. At the moment I’m looking for third party php scripts and I looked in the repository, but I couldn’t find something that seemed to fit yet ...
Has anybody hints how to implement a reliable ad click tracking solution in MODx?
Thanks!
Thanks,
I wasn’t aware of ad manager yet - looks that is what they need, and I’ll check analytics too.

Google Analytics, is great, but we need to have a 2nd opinion. It might be easiest if I could just parse the webserver logs: we need to have a record for all visits to the site. At previous companies, this log (or the associated database tables) could be huge, but the reporting was a requirement due to the nature of the business.
Is anyone using Urchin or anything to parse Apache logs to retrieve page hits, referrer urls, or even query strings?
