    Hi all,

just moved a copy of an existing modx installation to a new server, everthing works fine except the mcpuk filebrowser. i can upload to mcpuk and insert images into modx from mcpuk as usual but the thumbnails are all broken (brokenlink-image).

The resource-URL stuff and such including folder and file chmod is set properly, mcpuk also create the thumbnails properly under the corresponding folder, all images are displayed correctly within the manager

so what’s wrong i’m really out of ideas?

currently the complete thingy is running under php 5.2... something and apache 2.2.4 and worked absolutly fine under php4.something and a bit older version of apache

I’d suggest upgrading to 0.9.6.3 as I believe that is one of the areas that was touched. Or double-check the configuration since different servers can have different paths.

Any time you change servers, you may run into permissions errors... so that’s good that you checked everything with chmod... you may want to try increasing the permissions just to make sure (eg. to 777). The other thing you may want to check is whether or not you have the correct php libraries installed on that new server. Thumbnail generation must use some library... probably GD. If it’s linux, you can type "rpm -q php-gd" at the command line:

You may also need the Free Type library... you need GD and FreeType for CAPTCHA generation... I don’t know if Thumbnail generation is similar... http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/CAPTCHA

One final mess of library stuff is checking to see if the new server has suPHP and/or PHPsuexec installed and properly configured. Here’s a related page in the wiki:
