Copy and past from Word

hi guys, i am having problems with copying content from (MS Word, Note pad) into the editor - it’s keeping the previous formating - any thoughts? thanks

That is standard MS Word behavior, when pasting content from word it inserts a lot of html styling information along with the content.
TinyMCE has ’cleanup messy code’ and ’remove formatting’ buttons that may help clean it up. Personally when importing content from word I make sure to first paste it into a plain text editor (notepad) in order to lose the formatting and then copy the clean content from there into modx.

Yeah, pasting directly from Word is a bad idea... personally, I follow etal’s advice and paste everything into a plain text editor before putting it into MODx. Otherwise you can really pollute your content fields.

Tiny MCE also includes a paste from word button that strips it out to plain text too.
