    I’ve spent hours trying to get Milkbox (Lightbox with Mootools) to work properly with Modx and it does not seem to work at all.

    I even ported the demo page that comes with the package into a static template and even then it doesnt work.

    Are there any known problems with Mootools and Modx?

    You can see what happens by clicking any of the viewable images here;
    some of the images don’t exist because I didnt bother fixing all the paths but the ones that do exist should work and do work as straight HTML. They don’t work with MODx.

      Hi there,

      your javascript files look slightly different than the original milkbox-files from this site: http://reghellin.com/milkbox/
      maybe try the files i’ve attached...

      there are no problems with mootools and modx

          FYI modx doesn’t force you to use any given js framework or library, some addons use mootools, jquery or the like and the only thing to keep in mind is the namespace conflict issue ($ variable), which can be easily solved by using noconflict() in jquery.

          If you use other libraieries check that there is no issue on this side too...

            That’s what I had to do to get Milkbox to work with my modx setup. (Eksample here)
              I think, thererfor I am! But what I am, and why...?

              I was looking through your scripts and such but couldn’t find how you fixed it like that.

              What would it be conflicting with? I don’t use jQuery, Mootools is the only framework I use

              btw, thanks for the help so far. I haven’t modified the original milkbox files and I’ve cleaned up and fixed some of the CSS importing and whatnot

              I fixed it, turns out the conflict has to do with the little quick-edit manager thing that appears on pages when you’re logged into the Modx manager. I guess the conflict has to do with the script that powers that. Once you log out or use a different browser that isnt logged in, it works.

              Thanks for all your help!

                You can disable the plugin QuickEdit if you wan’t to. In your case Milkbox should work also when logged in to manager.
