It was blank before but now the following error appears:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function setPlaceholder() in /home/apimag/public_html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(769) : eval()’d code on line 397
Mostly harmless.
Sorry, typo in my code:
$modx>setPlaceholder('EventTitle', trim($_POST['EventTitle'] ));
Should be
$modx->setPlaceholder('EventTitle', trim($_POST['EventTitle'] ));
That works now - thanks!
Just wondering if there’s a more general way of bringing placeholder values as I create them without needing to customise the script for every new one?
Mostly harmless.

Glad it worked. I’m not sure I understand your question, but you could use generic placeholder names (e.g. placeholder1, placeholder2, etc on the confirmation page), then use parameters in the snippet call to tell the snippet which variables to use to fill them.
You might also take a look at the eForm snippet, which I think is more flexible (though I’ve never used it). I believe it has built-in ways of designating what goes on the confirmation page.
