Can mxCalendar read / import ics or xml files?

Hello,
I installed mxCalendar into MODX Revo 2.7.1 and it seems to work just fine.

I need help in thinking / going to the right direction: My client wants to import or read ics-Files (created by his software) or xml files with event data from a directory. Can anybody give a hint which way to go?
