    Hello - I’m using Fireworks CS3 and importing into Dreamweaver MX. My drop down menus work perfectly in Firefox but not IE7. The drop down is visible, but the link does not work. I’m new to this so nothing too technical please. Thanks

      Probably doesn’t work in IE6 either. Welcome to the developers nightmare. There are so many possible IE bugs ranging from JS to CSS to markup. Will need more info to offer creative solutions grin

        thanks for your interest. What do you need to know? My site is being prepared in F/works CS3 so I s’pose it’s all being written in j/script with an attached css page.

          I do not use FW so I am not familiar with the output. But I would expect that it would be IE compatible, being the most widely used browser and all (and being the worst browser in history, but that is another story). I would check in the FW help or in the adobe site for a known work-around. I have seen very little FW (or any design application) discussion in this forum so I don’t know how many people will be able to help without seeing the generated code.

          A few possible modx specific things to check:
          1) are your <base href="[(site_url)] /> tags correct. IE may not be finding the menu scripts
          2) if it is a flash menu being embedded with UFO or SWFObject you may need to use html style <base href="[(site_url)]></base> tag or add defer="defer" to the javascript call.

            I’ve looked for your code in the html and nothing like that exists. The html reads:
            <div id="MMMenu0018165330_0" onmouseout="MM_menuStartTimeout(1000);" onmouseover="MM_menuResetTimeout();">
            <a href="application.htm" target="_blank" id="MMMenu0018165330_0_Item_0" class="MMMIFVStyleMMMenu0018165330_0" onmouseover="MM_menuOverMenuItem(’MMMenu0018165330_0’);">
            Application&nbsp;form </a> <a href="standing_order.htm" target="_blank" id="MMMenu0018165330_0_Item_1" class="MMMIVStyleMMMenu0018165330_0" onmouseover="MM_menuOverMenuItem(’MMMenu0018165330_0’);">
            Standing&nbsp;Order&nbsp;form </a> </div>

            Unless you can spot something in the above, I suspect your suggestion of the FW site is a good one.
