Integrating Google Analytics dashboard in the MODx manager

The plugin doesn't work, so I am looking for an alternative solution. Years ago I tried the spreadsheets trick but it stopped working. Do you know if GA has an API and if anyone has tried doing it to please share ?

I guess I'd have to create a child of the manager dashboard and add my dashboard there. I tried Googling but got confusing results.
