  • I was just wondering if anyone here has looked at the Webflow interface on https://www.webflow.com

Some tutorial videos that show it in action.

I have to say that is one of the more feature packed browser-based apps for building a website that I've seen. This seems like a next generation web management app. I don't know what it would take to bring MODx up to this kind of functionality, but I can't help but want the MODx manager to act more like this. • Use Fred Extra. you can do anything with Fred. You can make better sites than webflow if you want page builder.

Thanks for the pointer. I didn't know about Fred and it looks fairly powerful, although maybe not as much of a universal tool as Webflow. Seems like you have to build out every feature you want, like an advanced template tool.

I'm curious though, what does FRED stand for and who thought that was a good name?
        • Web flow won't produce production ready code when compared to FRED nor have the versatility. I believe FRED is a reference to front end editor or freedom but not sure.
