So I’m trying to find a snippet or plugin that will allow the manager to choose (for example) from a Template Variable the creation date of an article. I know the obvious way of doing it like so:

    [*createdon:date=`%B %d, %Y`*]

    But I’d prefer for them to be able to pick (for example) from a Calendar for what they want the date to say on the page. Sure I could set up a text T.V. where they manually type in a date, but I can forsee each Manager putting in their own format and I was wanting consistency achieved by something like a date picker...something like the date picker used in the Published Date under "Page Settings".

      TV -> Input Type: Date

      You might want to use the unixtime widget too, as it can be easier to work with.

          Hey Brett,

          Thanks so much for your response. It’s funny how I’ve used MODx for years and still overlook simple things like that. Here’s what I did:

Posted [*articlePubDate:is=``:then=`[*createdon:date=`%B %d, %Y`*]`:else=`[*articlePubDate:date=`%B %d, %Y`*]`*]

          Thanks again!
