My TV's are broke!!!

Hi there,

I create a TV, asdsign it to a template.
I open the template and edit the TV, save the doc.....and it reverts to its default value?
Its not saving my TV’s!

I do get this error when creating TV’s, but from reading the forums I understand its not realted to the above: $rs not set! New variable not saved!

I simply added a sort order of 0, and it allowed me to save the TV fine.
When I use it tho it does not save?

I know how to create them, They simply wont save. When I change the value and save (it does not save)

I ran this line to take mysql out of safe mode
SET @@global.sql_mode= ’’;

Are there any risks to doing this, from what I can see STRICT mode governs mySQL’s response to missing input fields, this was obviously the reason the TV creation needed the sort order, and hence could not save.

Do you have a /tmp folder you can chmod 777

It’s not PHP’s "safe mode", it’s strict SQL modes (a feature of MySQL 5+) that expect all values to be of the proper type, etc. See http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/server-sql-mode.html for more information.

You will avoid some leftover errors if you disable strict SQL modes, but we are trying to make sure all of these errors are resolved in the latest 0.9.6.3 release, so feel free to run it in strict mode and help us resolve any leftover errors (if you are using 0.9.6.3-rc2 or later).
