I was wondering if any of you guys had made a website that allows users to submit articles via a web form (like Ezine Articles) that, once approved, appear in the document tree?

I am not a programmer so I wouldn’t know where to start on a snippet. But does anyone know if anything like this has already been made?

I believe you can do this with the News Publisher snippet. I can’t find it in the repository but I believe it is installed by default.

There is also FDM (Frontend Document Manager) which is in perpetual beta but is widely used. This may be an option if you need to include images or populate TVs. Otherwise NewsPublisher is the way to go.

Thanks guys. I am currently trying Newspublisher and followed the tutorial that was linked to. I have set up a web user group and linked it as per the tutorial. The page with the Newspublisher snippet is set for the webgroup and is set to show in the menu, but I can’t get anything to display (ie it won’t show the article submission form to people when they have logged in).

One other thing though, there doesn’t appear to be any moderation abilities for Newspublisher. Eg to be able to keep the page from being published until I have approved it.
