I am trying to create a content type for static resources using epub files.

Name: ePub
File Type: .epub
Mime Type: application/epub+zip
Binary: Tried Yes and No

The files are valid .epub files but the downloads do not open in epub client apps on the local computer

Problem solved:

Content Disposition must be set to Attachment under Settings

I hope this helps anyone else that has epub static resources!!
