Answered ifEval edits to become PHP7 ready

Hi all - Hoping someone out there can help here...

I am using the ifEval addon in my site and noticed that following an upgrade to PHP7 on the server - the pages where I use ifEval server 500 error and display a blank white screen. In the apache log - it points to the cache folder version of this plugin - so think its the fact that ifEval (due to its age) is not PHP7 compatible... ?

So would anyone be able to edit ifEval (https://modx.com/extras/package/ifeval) and make tweaks to make it PHP7 compliant/ready?

Possibly yes, but was hoping to keep things as they are with an update to the core PHP for ifEval if someone is available to make the edits?

Have replaced the usage of ifEval with output modifiers - so thanks for the suggestion @andytough

After looking at http://php.net/manual/en/function.eval.php I think output modifiers sound like a much safer option.

I hope switching it over it wasn't too much work!
