    Hi

When I test a particular mailing, the test recipients receive the mail as expected.

When I start the mailing, goodnews reports that it is sending the mails, but nothing happens.

Trouble is that I haven't got a clue where to look for errors. The error logfile isn't showing any.

    Any ideas?

    KInd regards

    Ludo

Are the test recipients on the same domain as the web site? If they are, try sending a test to email addresses on a different domain.

        Thanks for your suggestion.

No, they aren't. None of them actually.
        Two different domains.

Are there any other smtp settings I should be playing with? (stay alive?)

        regards

You could try running Bobs Quick Email - https://modx.com/extras/package/quickemail to test for problems.

How many emails are you sending out in one go? Is it possible that your bulk emails are being interpreted as SPAM and blocked by service providers?

You could run a check on MX Toolbox to see if you have been blacklisted. https://mxtoolbox.com/

I just tried a mailing list of just one single email address.

When I click on the "go" button, the status changes into "Sending" while the wheel in front of "Sending" keeps on turning until I stop the proces. Then I receive an email telling me that not a single mail was sent.

I checked cron: the Task scheduler touch info on top of the mailer page is refreshed every 10 seconds or so.

Problem has been solved thanks to Martin from Bitego.

I had to disable multiprocessing in the system configuration as the service provider apparently does not allow/sustain php based process handling.
