Evening all,
I set a site live thismorning that I had built without any domain looking at it. Now all went well and when finished we pointed the clients domain name to our servers and I cleared the cache on the site, turned friendly urls on.
After about 4 hours the site cache had redone its self with all the old urls and not the new ones IE, we built the site at www.myreseller.com/~username then pointed the donain to it and it was www.sitename.com (for about 4 hours) but after the cache rebuilt all links went back to www.myreseller.com/~username
Does anyone know what’s making the url’s revert back to old after a few hours and how I could stop it hapening again.

The first access to the page will create the cached version; so if you are still accessing pages via the old URL, that will get cached. Make sure you don’t access via the temp URL anymore.
Hi OpenGeek,
Thank’s for the answer, however I was the only one that new the old URL and once the nameservers were changed and propogated I went in via the new url and cleared the cache, then tested the site.
However I will check to insure none of the links are pointing to the old domain. Thanks
Check for any re-writing in .htaccess or a <base href> in the template that’s hard-coded to the old site url.
