My element does not properly update whether its: theme, chunk, or snippet being updated.

I upgraded a clients site from v2.3.? to v2.6.5. I upgraded from 2.3 to 2.4 step 1, then 2.4 to 2.5 in step 2, and last 2.5 to v2.6.5 thinking smaller increments would be better. The original PHP version was 5.3, and I waited till upgrading to 5.4 after upgrading core to v2.4. Then updated PHP to v 5.6 when core went to v2.5, and finally PHP v7.0 when core went to v2.6.5. This seemed to upgrade with no issues showing during installation.

The only issue I noticed during upgrade was the slideshow manager. In that the button you click to update in the admin panel only offered update up till v1.1.3. But I found out there was a v1.1.4 int he download area. I had to uninstall this to find the version I needed. Now the slideshow does show.

I have one major problem and that is my site elements will not update. Theme, chunk, or snippet when I click save, the Save Window opens up quickly, the bar starts to move and then it disappears quickly before the bar shows the full update status has completed. The element does not update. So it seems as if the update window is closing quickly instead of finishing the update. Please help.

This morning I woke up and the problem is gone, in that the elements are updating just fine and very fast. The only thing I guess is: The shared server and database the website is using, was heavily burdened last night. Extremely slow. This morning very fast.
