Im trying to grasp the following.
A few plugins such as WebLoginPE and jot use templates stored on the FTP.
But I understand you can also create chunks of these templates.
How do you get modx X to refer to the chunk you created instead of the template?
Im sure its simple.....just can’t quite cotton on.

You just create them as chunks and then specify those chunks by name in your snippet call.
Example:
You create a chunk called MyOuterTpl to replace the default outerTpl then, in the snippet call, put:
Be careful on the names -- they’re case-sensitive and must match exactly.
Most snippets use the uploaded templates as default. You can almost always use chunks for tpls in snippets. Actually that is part of the structure of modx where logic (snippets) is isolated from layout (chunks). When a snippet refers to a tpl it is normally referring to a chunk.
