Safely update rev 2.1.3pl to 2.2.14 ?

Are there any big changes to rev 2.1.3pl and the latest version 2.2.14?

I'm about to update, if anyone had problems with updating from such an old version please let me know shocked

Update to 2.2.0 first. It's a bad idea to skip over the x.x.0 versions.

I would strongly recommend also updating to 2.3.0, 2.4.0, 2.5.0, 2.6.0 and the current version. There are serious security vulnerabilities in the older versions. In addition, the 2.2.x versions had some issues with cache corruption. Version 2.1.3 is seven years old. Version 2.2.14 is over four years old.

You can use the UpgradeMODX extra to do the upgrades, though I'm not sure it will work in 2.1.3. I think it will work in 2.2.0.

I would disable all plugins before starting, and leave them disabled until you're finished with the upgrades. It's a good idea to do a few simple tests after each upgrade to make sure you can login, edit, and save things.
