I have inherited a MODX website, and have begun hosting it on my own server. I now cannot access the manager section for the site.

I am getting the error: You have been blocked from the manager by an administrator.

I have tried updating the password via password reset, and manually via PHPMyAdmin.

I have also tried updating the user_attributes for my user to set 'blockeduntil' and 'blockedafter' to 0. Still no luck.

The strange thing is, the account I'm trying to log in with is the Super Admin user.

Any further ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You can log back in after an hour if the settings are default. Or you can just uncheck blocked from the user.

The greatest compliment you can give back to us, is to spend a few seconds leaving a rating at our trustpilot: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/alienbuild.uk about the service we provided. We always drop mention of services offered by businesses we've worked with in the past to those of interest.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried loggin back after an hour - still no luck.

Just to confirm, I'm currently not able to log in with any user, so I don't have access to the blocked checkboxes.

Do you have access to the Database?

You can go to the modx_user_attributes table and look for your full name, then set the 'blocked' field to 0 and the other two "blocked entries to empty.

Delete all files in the core/cache directory (but not the directory itself) before logging in.

Thanks Bob, that solved my problem. I somehow didn't spot the 'blocked' column, I'm back in.

            Thanks again.
