I’m currently creating a plugin for ModX that allows to mark a checkbox while document editing (template variable) that means "Transfer this content to a board thread in vBulletin".

I don’t only need this variable, there must also be set the document information, which ThreadID and PostID vBulletin used to create the thread/posting to make later changes in ModX possible which will be automatically transferred to the vBulletin system.

I would like to create two additional template variables which should be set by the plugin (Document ID, Post ID). How can I access that template variables and give them a value? What’s the code to change an existing variable which is empty at this moment?

Would be great if you can assist me in that topic!

Thank you and greetings from Germany!

In the current system, you will need to use SQL to insert/update the appropriate table (i.e. site_tmplvar_contentvalues). There will be an API for this in Revolution.
