for some reason my XML/RSS feeds dont print the encoding (UTF-8) in the document..
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="" ?>
im using version 0.9.6.2 - i didnt have the problem with 0.9.6.1p2
In the site configuration, the character encoding is set to UTF-8, so i cant understand why it’s suddenly leaving it out.. unless somethings gone missing between versions?

If it’s your code creating these feeds, check to make sure you are looking at $modx->config[’modx_charset’] or [(modx_charset)] in content. If this is Ditto or another component, I suggest bringing this up in the appropriate board for that third-party code.
well [(modx_charset)] returns UTF-8 (oh yeah and I’m using Ditto) - so it’s strange that the encoding in the header declaration is still empty
i’ll bring it up on the ditto board. thought id post here first because I wasnt sure if it’s ditto or modx that’s causing the problem
