I would like to know if it would be possible to create a list that would have all the document titles/ids (i know there is doc manager but still), basically all page parameters except the content (maybe even including tvs?):
Page title, Long title, introduction, alias, extension (not v. necessary), template (not v. necessary also), order in menu.
It would be helpful to edit a bunch of docs if I ever need to, because I had to go through all the docs in a folder 1 by 1, and edit them.
Although it then hit me, and I did the editing through MySQL, however it would be great if we would have something like Doc Manager but more powerful...
Anyone?
not exactly what you want but another way to edit a lot of documents at once is to use fast_content_csv to export the documents, edit them with open-office-calc or excel save you changes and then update the documents with the new csv-file. There is a plugin in fast_content_csv, which creates buttons in the document-overview for actions(insert update update/insert export) you have configured in the module, so you can import and export with one click for example all documents in one folder or all documents with a given tv-value or all documents which............
I think would be not so hard to make a modul where you can edit the needed documents directly in the manager, but you can first have a try with fast_content_csv.
Bruno
i think it would be easier to do the editing with phpmyadmin then through cvs
looked at the demo, its a nice module but its not exactly what I am looking for.
I need something that can Edit basic properties of a doc (long title, title, alias, etc etc) without going into the page itself.
Basically a table that can out put the IDs required and edit them & save them all together.
I just replaced looks on 404 page and text in a plugin with it looks without enter page or plugin...
Are you looking for something like that? See images.
I can modify fast_content_csv, so you can choose the fields you want to edit, save your configuration to an workspace.
bind it to a folder or an master document.
then with one click to this document(s) in the tree you have an button to start the form generation.
make your changes to the document-fields. save all. ready.
It is also possible to edit TVs with this.
yep! thats pretty much what i am looking for, as long as it is all automated:)
Have modified fast_content_csv, so you can edit many documents at once directly in the manager.
