    Hi All,

I am having problem with this site:

    http://www.obesity-central.com

    Using Modx 9.6.3r2 (was r1).

The site is all good on Firefox, Opera, Safari but IE6 & IE7.
It seems that the valu of "Resource URL" is not retrievable by IE. Please visit the site and have a look and you will know what I am talking about.
I am having other sites that are using ealier versions of Modx and they are all good. It seems to be smth to do with 9.6.3 only.

    Could any body please help?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Hung.

      Your site is showing :
      <base href=""></base>

Should be this in the template:
      <base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

Which equates to this in the browser :
      <base href="http://www.obesity-central.com/"></base>

        Hi David,
Thank you very much for your help. The HTML header code is actually correct
        <base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

However as you find out, I checked in different browsers and it is rendered as
        <base href=""></base>

Obviously this is a bug in this build. The [(site_url)] value is empty!!!

For the time being, I can fix the issue by hardcoding the base URL value and wait for the fix.

Not sure why the site can still work on oher browsers (Firefox 3, Safari 3, Opera 9.6) but IE?

        Thanks again David. laugh

        Cheers
        H.

It’s actually not a bug in the build, as we’ve seen this happen sporadically even in versions before 0962. It’s an Apache problem I think.

Try adding the following to your htaccess file (extra lines included for reference:
          #Options +FollowSymlinks
          RewriteEngine On
          RewriteBase /

          # Fix Apache internal dummy connections from breaking [(site_url)] cache
          RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^.*internal\ dummy\ connection.*$ [NC]
          RewriteRule .* - [F,L]

We’d be very curious to know more about your server environment as we try to document what’s going on for the future.
