Answered FormIt not parsing placeholders inside redirectTo=``

    Hello,

    it is very strange with formit

    redirectTo=`41` <=== Works perfectly
    redirectTo=`[[!*myPlaceholder]]` <=== Does not work

    FormIt is called uncached

    Do you know what's going on ? Can I avoid this ?

      it looks like you're calling a template variable and not a placeholder. It might help if you post up your complete code so we can take a better look at what you've got and what you're trying to achieve.

        yes you are right it was a TV actually

        and the content of this TV was another [[!++context setting]]

        this is why it was not parsed within FormIt

        I am surprised because if i put [[!*myPlacedholder]] ( or [[!*myTV]] ) directly into the html template the value is properly retrieved from the context setting and properly displayed

        but when [[!*myPlacedholder]] ( or [[!*myTV]] ) is called from within !FormIt it's not computed properly

        I solved this issue by directly calling the context setting instead of the TV

          Using the exclamation mark to make the placeholder uncached delays its processing, so when the outer tag is processed, the value has not been set and FormIt tries to process the tag itself rather than its value.
