Duplicated folder doesn't retain the new alias in the Uri

I'm trying to duplicate a folder (parent &it's children), after duplication action is successful I change the Resource alias to new name and clicked save button. After saving with the new alias, tried to 'view' the page some how it's showing the new alias in the uri for a second and then redirecting to a old alias in the uri. Not sure why it's doing like this. Any ideas why it's behaving like this?

Are you sure you weren't looking at the old resource when you changed the alias?

When you change the alias the link in the Preview button is not updated. Reload the page.

I verified in the new resource by reloading the page.
I figured out that, this is happening since the root page has "weblink" of type which is pointing to the old resource.
