How to manage a bulk of new users send password, force passwd change!

Hi All,

I've built an extranet. Login works, usergroups setup allright and now the client has a Excelsheet with all names and emailadresses of the members.
Now, I can import these users with ImportUsersX Extra But...
How can i then send all new users a login? i can't send them their username and password because the passwords are encrypted in the database.
I could try setting all passwords the same and force all new users to change their password upon first login. But how di i do that (Extra 'Forced Password Change' doesn't seem to work anymore on 2.6-pl) and even if it did i wouldn't know how to set it in bulk while importing with ImportUsersX.
SO:
how do i send all users an email?
how can i force them to change their password?
How can i let them easily change their password (forgot password functionality is not very userfriendly)?
