Hello,
I am using smart url’s on a new website I have built with MODx - which is replacing an old html site.
I would like to setup some htaccess redirects so that linked / bookmarked pages do not return 404 error pages.
Everytime I try this, I receive a 500 internal server error:
RedirectMatch permanent ^volunteerinfo.html $
http://www.domain.com.au/volunteers.html
If i do it this way, a 404 error page is returned:
redirect 301 /booking.html
http://www.domain.com.au/school-bookings.html
and the url in the address bar changes to this:
http://www.domain.com.au/school-bookings.html?q=booking.html
instead of:
http://www.domain.com.au/school-bookings.html
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
p.s.
This is the code in my htaccess for rewriting the friendly urls:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
