I have a client that has a web design company here in the US; he wants to start doing business in Colombia and wants his site to have a lo-fi version (no css, tables, nasty) of his site to show when a person hits the site with say ie4 or lower. I already changed the site to use ie comments and different hacks to get transparency and different things working in ie5.5 and 6 but want to just show a whole new site as I believe ie1 doesn’t even have css support. I am wanting to write a php script to detect the browser and tell modx to show a html only, no css, javascript or flash template for these browsers. What would be the most efficient way of going about this?
