Trying to build a Wayfinder menu in Revo 2.5.7

The way my site is designed, the top menu has a break in the middle, so I need to build a left and right side. But to do that, I need to limit the amount of items that shows up on the left side. Now if I use &limit=`3`, the system limits the link generation to 3.

But I still want to include ALL the children of each of those Level 1 items in a drop down.

I have the menu rendering perfectly, but I can't seem to figure out how to limit ONLY the Level 1 items in the menu.

    Any ideas?

I did read THIS post, but didn't find any satisfaction in it:

Will the pages at level one all remain the same, or will new pages at this level be created?

Well, I imagine there will certainly be pages added at level 2+, but I can probably cap level 1 at the main topic categories, and (perhaps) make adjustments to the Wayfinder call IF there are added Level 1 pages.

You should be able to have two Wayfinder calls on the page, one for the left menu and one for the right menu, two levels deep and use &excludeDocs to exclude the level one docs you don't want to see in each of the menus.

I'd be interested in seeing the design. From experience most of the time when a top menu has a break in the middle it's to insert a logo or graphic, in which case you can probably just use CSS to achieve what you want.

Right now the site (unfinished) sits at: http://spca.wwwsrc4.supercp.com
(The menu on there right now is just css)

You're correct about splitting the menu for a logo, but I've never had to split a UL list before. How do you do that in pure CSS? (splitting it into 2 div's...?)

There's a few ways you could tackle it but take a look at this:
