I have a User Group set up which only includes me, the superadmin. I use it to lock all other users out of pages I don’t give them access to. I have a user that belongs to the All Document Groups (Public) and when this user creates a new page the Access Permissions defaults to my admin group rather than the public group. What this effectively does is allows creation of a page, but once it is saved it locks them out of that page.

Is there a method for affecting this, to set the default Group to All Document Groups (Public)?

I think that this behavior was introduced where new doc inherit the doc groups of the parent. You can set a default group by using a plugin (I have done this before as an example but can’t find the code right now). Look at the InheritParentTemplate plugin to get some ideas on how to set a default value.

You may also be able to do this with ManagerManager plugin since it has a function to set default groups based on user types.
