Answered Problem Installing Formit on Revo 2.5.8-pl

    I am using Revo 2.5.8-pl and have tried many times to install Formit from the formit-3.0.3-pl.transport.zip but it hangs every time. The attached console output shows the hang point.

    I have set the archive_with setting to "Yes" in System Settings as recommended on the Troubleshooting Package Management page and have cleared the cache and deleted the core/cache folder every time before trying to install FormIt. I also removed FormIt after each failed install attempt on the "Search Locally for Packages" page of the Manager.

    A list of packages installed is attached, together with the first two pages of the relevant phpinfo file.

    Any help that can be given will be gratefully received.

          Those install messages are normal. They're just telling you that the package has been installed before.

          If the install is hanging before the final blue success message, it's not from those errors. Is there anything in the MODX error log?

            Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I cannot refer to the relevant error log because I cleared the cache folder after every (what I thought was a) failed attempt to install FormIt.

            Although you imply that the package was, in fact, successfully installed, it was showing up as "Not installed" in the package list.

            Five days wasted looking for an answer will teach me to look in the error logs!

            I suspect that the problem was a folder permissions issue as I have now installed FormIt.
