I'm fairly certain that in the past when I would un-check the `Rich Text` option on a resources Settings tab, it would ONLY disable the rich text field on the content block of that resource, AND NOT on TV's defined under the Template Variables tab that are setup as input types of richtext.

Has this been changed recently to disable rich text on content AND TV's when this option is un-checked? Or did I stumble on a bug?

As far, as I can tell, this has allways been like that.
I think, there are ways, to work arround that.

Hmm OK. Thanks Bruno. I'll have to poke around and see about a work around for this.

I suspect the weird (dangerous) assumption was that if you turned off RTE on the Resource, well, you did not need RTE on the other myriad fields within said resource.

          ENTER TinymceWrapper
          https://forums.modx.com/thread/97694/support-comments-for-tinymcewrapper
-TVs can be transformed even if RTE is disabled for the particular resource
-TVs can be transformed by this wrapper even if you choose to use another RTE altogether
            TinymceWrapper: Complete back/frontend content solution.
