The combination of quick edit and the friendly urls httpd.ini on a windows server is disabling the function of a "lightbox" slideshow, the server is set up to use the friendly urls, and the quick edit works fine, and indeed when logged out of the site the lightbox works fine too - but - when we have all running and are logged in, the lightbox does not work properly. does anyone now a better solution for all of this on a windows server? the problem is that the client does not want the site published yet, so it is very awkward to have to temporarily publish and then log out just to test to make sure it is working properly. And a universal simple solution for this would save a lot of time in the future.
(plain english answers please!!)

It’s simply a matter of conflicting JS calls from QuickEdit. If you can get by without it, turn it off. Otherwise you’ll need to hack up QE to use your site’s JS library, or if your Lightbox doesn’t use Mootools, it’s a simple JS-library incompatibility.
