Why Formit &emailTo=`` never fires?

Hi,
We've used FormIt for years - successfully. This is doing my nut!

The email never fires to [[+email]]. However, the field is saved no problem to FormSave, so there's clearly a placeholder there. The redirect fores ok. And if we change to and hard code the email, then all works. And all the placeholders are being set in the email chunk as well as FormSave.

Just puzzled. Any ideas, guys?

FormIt is 3.0.2 and this version is MODX Revolution 2.3.2-pl

Looks like you are trying to use 'email' to send an email to the person filling out the form.
For this you should use formitautoresponder
Try changing the &emailTo to a hard coded email to test if the email hook works.

I had a problem that the email did not fire until &emailFrom and &emailTo had valid email addresses approved by my hosting server. A [email protected] did not work, I changes to [email protected] which actually exists

I did wonder if it was email address / host related, but of course we're testing with an external SMTP and have hard coding the email to test as mentioned above. I could have sworn we have successfully used in the past, but Agoraa, you could be right.
Formitautoresponder seems to have had its own issues for us in the past, so I think we'll just hard code a hook. Thanks anyway.
