Just got some good news from the Deki Wiki guys. It looks like the authentication feature in Deki Wiki will rely on the userbase established in MODx. I might need some guidance on how to actually go about completing this. I don’t have to do this project immediately, so I have time to read and re-read it, and figure out exactly where I am supposed to place which scripts. If anyone wants to chime in and help clarify the information I’ve received, go for it. Deki’s Wiki is "developer friendly" but not exactly completely intuitive for newbies who need step-by-step instructions like me. Deki and MODx would make for a really nice integration.

I wrote this post originally because I have a client who wants to build a site with content, a blog, a wiki, and a forum. It looks like SMF + MODx will integrate perfectly, so a MODx + SMF + DekiWiki scheme would be possible. I’d like to hear from anyone who has done something similar.
