SOLVED::How do i display a 'last updated date'?

Is there a way in Modx to have a last updated date displayed?

Thanks

j

In the manager for the modx GA release? For each page on the site?

Hi Ryan,

I’d like it on every page if possible...just in the footer which is in the template as a chunk.
Is there a way to do this in Modx?
I’m using Modx0.9.6.2.

Thanks

Yes you’d just output the edited on date from the document object. http://modxcms.com/document-tvs.html

Excellent thanks very much.

You could also use the PHX plugin: http://modxcms.com/PHx-1006.html
Documentation here: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/PHx#date.28.3D.60dateformat.60.29

If you just do a [*editedon*] variable, you’ll get an unprocessed unix timestamp. You can manipulate it with PHP, but PHX simplifies the process (in my opinion).

If you go that route, you probably want something like this in your template:

The documentation for that shorthand for the date format is here: http://us2.php.net/strftime

There are a few snippets that will format the date if you do not want to use PHx. There are snippets to format any date field and there are snippets specific for the edited on date (which can include the author name as well). Sorry i do not have any links for these on hand.
