Migx text field – is there a way to limit the number of characters the editor can enter?

I have a Migx TV with four text fields and I'd like to be able to limit the number of characters that can be entered into these fields. I know how to limit the number of characters in the output, but ideally I'd like to limit this in the field itself so the editor knows when they've written too much.

I'm using MODX Revolution 2.5.7-pl
