Parse Error - What does it mean?

any help with this will be appreciated.

I have just transferred 2 sites to another host first took me a while but second then went through in 10 minutes. The third site was going fine, can log into the manager but when I go to view the index.php file I get the following error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /var/www/vhosts/networkneeds.co.uk/httpdocs/assets/modules/quick_edit/output.class.inc.php on line 143

I have tried uploading the quick edit module files again and running the install again and starting from scratch again.

Any other suggestions?

also after installing and going to save the site configuration I get the message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /var/www/vhosts/networkneeds.co.uk/httpdocs/manager/media/style/MODxLight/sysalert_style.php on line 41

I have deleted everything and re-installed it twice. The site was working fine on the other host and I can log into the manager fine.

SOMEONE HELP ME!! does that sound desperate enough?

Disable the QuickEdit module AND plugin. There seems to be a problem there.
