I am completely new to setting up search engines. I am using Revolution on a Linux server.
A third party installed Sphinx (
www.sphinxsearch.com) on my existing host and set it up, but didn't provide any instructions on how to duplicate this process. I'm trying to get Sphinx to index the new testing site that I've copied everything to. The host has installed the search engine for me but I'm not sure how to get Sphinx to index it now.
The documentation is really confusing. Hoping someone has used this.
