How to turn off caching completely?

    I'm working on a local site that uses static files.

    I'd like to refresh my pages after I've modified the files without having to clear the cache each time.

    Is there a setting to turn off caching?

    So far I've turned off:


    • Cacheable default
    • Disable Global Cache Options
    • Enable Script Cache
    • Enable System Setting Cache

    But this doesn't seem to help.

      Just to clarify instead of turning disable global cache off, you enabled it yes?

          I remember once, the Lead architect of MODX said they meant to implement that setting but something about it never happening.

          So, try turn off resource cache per resource?

            One workaround would be to use Cachemaster. You'd still have to save the pages in the Manager, but with CacheMaster, only the cache for the page you save will be cleared rather than the whole cache.

            Be careful to check to see if loading the page in the Manager shows the new changes (I'm pretty sure it will). If it doesn't, the changes will be wiped out when you save the resource.
