I really believe this is not possible, but I'm not the type to give up so I thought I would ask you guys who are all much smarter than me if I stand a chance. Here's the scenario:
I'm building a classified ads site. I at first was going to use a chunk to create the menu but I find I need the same menu in three different locations and three different layouts so my thinking is to have each classified ad category and sub categories a resource page. The two menu layouts are straight forward and I have no issue, but I need some insight for the third menu, if even possible. I have attached a picture so this makes more sense.
When I hover over the main category I want to display a "mega menu" with columns of the child categories. Programatically, if I could tell Wayfinder to display resources 1 - 5 in the first columns, and resources 6 - 10 in the 2nd, resources 11 - 15 in the 3rd column, and take a picture from a TV in the parent resource.
Otherwise I will need to create a textarea TV in the parent category and write out the HTML for each mega menu, but down the road if a child category were added or removed, I would rather it be automatic instead of having to remember to edit the HTML block. I hope this makes sense. I think I rambled.

The three menu items with dropdowns are done with three separate Wayfinder calls and the
Sky Mega Menu code.
I think the Sky Mega Menu can also be used sideways like that but I'm not sure.
I don't see a problem with doing it with pdoMenu personally.

I took a look at pdoMenu but didn't see how I could create the vertical columns with pdoMenu, since I would need to select (number of child resources / 3) and then the first column would be 1 - the first 3rd, column 2 would be the next 3rd and so on. I am thinking I may have to copy the Wayfinder script and alter the code to meet my needs, or simply include the html text in a TV. Please let me know if I am missing something with pdoMenu though.
