Hi,
I followed the instructions in the MODx Web Devolpment 2nd Ed. Text to create a simple Front Page resource, in which I inserted this banal code as the content of the resource::
<<<
<p>Testo Prova</p>
<p>HOME PAGE</p>
<p><img class="" src="assets/images/modx-logo.png" alt="Ciao" width="377" height="377" /></p>
>>>
Of course I watched from Filezilla the existence of the image and the path. All right!
The image is displayed by the editor, but even by inserting Template (blank) the preview does not publish the image!
Where am I wrong?

Could you repost your example jpg's on another service (somewhere like
http://imgur.com/) as the display of attachments on the MODX Forums is not working at the moment.

Does your template have the "base href" tag in it ?
Have you installed into a subdomain or subfolder ?
If you are not on the top level e.g domain.org the image won't show without the Base Href - if I remember correctly
